Genesis Coin has announced the installation of its third Bitcoin ATM, this one in Whistler, British Columbia. No ordinary Bitcoin machine, the Genesis1 ATM transacts not only in Bitcoin but also in the increasingly popular virtual currencies Litecoin and Dogecoin.
Logicoins owns and operates the cash-in, cash-out machine, which is located at Whistler Blackcomb — one of the largest ski resorts in North America. Specifically, the machine is installed at West Coast Float, a flotation therapy center.
San Diego-based Genesis Coin has two other Genesis1 machines in operation — one in Tijuana, Mexico, and one in Quebec.
Genesis Coin CEO Evan Rose is optimistic about the North American Bitcoin ATM market and its response to this new technology being released on the market.
"Canada has played a crucial role in Bitcoin adoption, and we are elated to see operators deploying our technology in regions of the world which have been historically kind to crypto-currencies," he said.
