CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Trusted Security Solutions (TSS) has added the A98-125/A, which can establish unique keys in up to 125 ATMs, to its line of A98 Initial ATM Key Establishment System offerings.
The new model provides the same functionality as the larger A98 systems, according to a news release. It supports legacy 16-character multiple key components, 32-character multiple components for triple DES and can be field upgraded to A98-125/R to provide for remote loading of ATM keys.
The vendor-neutral A98-125/A is priced at $16,375 and is available immediately.
"With the addition of the A98-125/A, even organizations with a modest number ATMs can easily bring their ATM networks into compliance while realizing the cost savings and simplification of operations," said TSS President Dennis "Abe" Abraham.
According to the release, no ATM changes are required, and in most cases, no host application software changes are needed to immediately begin using the product.
TSS provides a Host Proxy Application that allows a semi-automated interface between A98 and any host software; a number of host software vendors provide drivers that automate the connection with A98. Total automation of the host key management functions can also be achieved through HLLAPI or other custom programming.
"We listened to the industry and the A98-125/A is our response to the numerous requests from institutions with a modest number of ATMs for a cost effective, low-end yet fully functional A98," said Steve Walker, TSS vice president of development.
TSS also recently signed a reseller agreement with HQS International to remarket the A98 line into Latin America.
Joseph Handschu, HQS president, said in a news release, "The A98 fits exactly within the needs of the Latin American financial industry and ATM environments, not only to fulfill the immediate Visa requirements, but also to provide a cost effective and simple migration to remote keying of ATMs."
According to the release, A98 products are used to key approximately 200,000 ATMs.
