DAYTON, Ohio -- According to an NCRnews release, software and switch-service partners now certifying its APTRA vendor-independent software in the U.S. include Concord EFS, ACI Worldwide and Mosaic Software.
The three vendors were among more than 50 representatives of U.S.-based service providers who met recently at NCR world headquarters in Dayton for the manufacturer's Fourth Annual Self-Service Partner Summit. Several presentations during the event focused on discussion of and deployment plans for APTRA. (See related story NCR stresses team approach)
NCR says APTRA is active in more than 125 projects worldwide and is being used in the U.S. by FleetBoston, Fidelity Investments and 7-Eleven.
Kevin Carroll, Concord product manager, said in the release, "APTRA supports new deposit functionality, Triple DES (Data Encryption Standard) and voice guidance regulatory requirements. Concord will use APTRA to help our joint customers stay competitive and increase revenue opportunities by quickly implementing new transactions, user interfaces and advanced functionality."
Andy Orent, vice president of NCR's Financial Solutions division, Americas region predicted in the release that the adoption of multivendor software like APTRA will "explode" in the next 12-18 months. "Having our multivendor software certified and proven in a live environment has enabled financial institutions to see the benefit of transitioning their ATM channel platform," he said.
