September 2, 1999

DAYTON, Ohio -- NCR Corp. is purchasing Gasper Corp., a Dayton, Ohio-based company that develops and markets products that are designed to improve the availability of ATM networks. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Gasper Corp. will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of NCR and remain headquartered at its current location in Dayton. David Gasper, founder of the privately-owned company, will remain its president. Gasper's products and services, which include Gasper Manager, Cash Monitor, Transaction Monitor and Cash Optimization, will be integrated with NCR's self service product and service offerings. Networks that drive over 20 percent of ATMs worldwide and 50 percent in the U.S. are managed by Gasper Corp. solutions. "For years, NCR and Gasper Corp. have served many of the same financial institutions, so we are very familiar with each other," said William Eisenman, senior vice president, NCR Worldwide Customer Services. "Our objective is to leverage the expertise of both companies to bring value-added solutions to our customers and their partners."
