NCR Corp.'s boost in profits last year led to a huge payoff for Chairman, CEO and President William Nuti, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. His compensation nearly doubled in 2010.
The Duluth, Ga.-based maker of kiosks and ATMs reported in a proxy filing Nuti's total compensation was $12.2 million last year, compared with $7 million in 2009. His salary was flat at $1 million and he received no bonus in 2010. However, his stock awards increased about 40 percent to $8.1 million. His option awards went from zero to $1.4 million, and his non-equity incentive plan compensation went from zero to $1.5 million.
NCR posted a $137 million profit in 2010, aided by higher revenue.
The proxy filing also reported Chief Financial Officer Robert Fishman's total compensation was up almost 400 percent to $2.3 million after a bonus; higher stock awards, option awards, a non-equity incentive plan compensation, change in pension value and relocation fees.
