NCR intros software designed for placing, managing ad campaigns

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), launched its new APTRA Promote, a self-service software product specifically designed for the creation and management of marketing and advertising campaigns for ATM networks, at the BAI Retail Delivery show.

According to an NCR release, it works in much the same way as scheduler software on a personal computer, allowing financial institutions and retail outlets to more effectively schedule and target their marketing, branding and advertising. APTRA Promote gives the deployer complete control over the screen display and printed output without affecting existing ATM consumer services.

Jim Piggot, vice president of software and services at NCR's Financial Solutions division, said, "APTRA Promote is fast and simple to use and allows the deployer to activate the ATM network and turn it into an effective promotional channel. It makes advertising on ATMs easier and more efficient, enabling our customers to generate more revenue from the self-service channel and thereby to boost profit."

APTRA Promote offers complete integration with the deployer's existing software management tools, independent of any single or proprietary software distribution system, according to the release.
