Navy Federal Credit Union begins operating Department of Defense military banking facilities overseas

Navy Federal Credit Union has begun operating Military Banking Facilities overseas through the Department of Defense's Overseas Military Banking Program. These branches will be co-branded as Community Bank, operated by Navy Federal Credit Union, according to a press release.

The credit union will operate 60 locations and 272 ATMs on installations in Europe and the Pacific.

"The Overseas Military Banking Program fits our core values at Navy Federal and is consistent with our primary mission of supporting Active Duty military members and their families," Kara Cardona, COO of Navy Federal, said in the release. "Serving these families through this important DoD program is directly aligned with our mission."
