John Toms, a former branch manager of a NatWest branch, has been given a two-year suspended sentence for stealing more than $462,000 from ATMs. He would cash out the ATMs at the London branch in Moorgate from January 2016 to April 2024 to get money for gambling, according to a report by Finextra.

In order to cover his trail, he would place the money in bank registers and forge colleague's signatures for balancing the ATM's books.

Toms did pay back some of the stolen funds, leaving a total loss of $335,659.53.
