National Bank of Kenya has entered a partnership with the PesaPoint ATM network that will make its 123 ATMs available to users from other banks.
According to a report by All Africa, the move by National Bank indicates a trend toward greater connectivity among FIs in Kenya, with more than 1,000 ATMs operated by 32 banks now on the PesaPoint network.
National Bank has been growing quickly in Kenya, with the addition of 15 branches and nearly 100 ATMs last year. Managing Director Munir Ahmed told All Africa that investment will continue with the expected addition of more than 2,000 agents in 2015.
