LONDON - The National Australia Group Europe (NAGE) are has successfully implemented Phoenix Interactive's VISTAatm software into its European ATM environment.
The Group's retail banking activities in the UK and Ireland operate under four separate and distinct brands -- Clydesdale Bank, Yorkshire and Northern Bank in the UK, and National Irish Bank in the Republic of Ireland -- all of which are deploying VISTAatm. The total network includes more than 1,200 ATMs.
The NAGE implementation also utilizes Phoenix's EMVco-certified VISTAatm Chip Card module as part of the software rollout in order to meet EMV and Link compliance requirements.
"We set (Phoenix) a major challenge, to migrate our UK and Ireland ATM applications onto a Microsoft operating environment, based on the platform developed for our sister bank, Bank of New Zealand," said Andy McComb, head of ATMs Europe. "To add further complexity, we contracted Phoenix to build EMV acquiring support and comply with the latest encryption standards, all within a 12 month timeframe."
