ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The NACS Show has been named by Tradeshow Week (TSW) as one of the 50 fastest-growing trade shows in North America in recognition of its net square footage growth from 2000 to 2002.
According to NACS (National Association of Convenience Stores), NACS Show 2002 was ranked the 49th-largest tradeshow of 2002 and eighth-largest in the fourth quarter of 2002 in terms of net square feet by the magazine in its "Tradeshow Week 200" rankings, which were released in May.
In 2001, the NACS Show was ranked 81st; the jump to 49th was the seventh-largest leap of all tradeshows ranked in the listing of the top 200 shows in the United States.
The show has long been popular among ATM companies because of the ATM's status as a common fixture at c-stores.
More than 40 ATM-related companies will exhibit their wares at this year's show, which will take place Oct. 11-14 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Among them are: manufacturers Triton, Tidel and NCR, which will introduce a new member of its EasyPoint line of ATMs; ISOs Access Cash International/eFunds, Cardtronics, ATM USA, Automated Financial, E*Trade Financial, FTI (Financial Technologies); and ATM service/armored car companies Bluewire Technologies, Dunbar Armored and Efmark/Premium Armored.
Entrepreneur Gary Hoover and former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani will be the speakers for the Opening and Closing General Sessions, according to NACS.
