HERNDON, Va. - Recognizing the global nature of commerce and electronic payments, NACHA – the Electronic Payments Association is expanding its educational offerings on international payments. According to a news release, the first Institute of International Payments will be held from Nov. 29 – Dec. 2, 2005, in Atlanta. The annual Global Electronic Payments Conference will be held on Jan. 16-17, 2006, in Rome.
The Institute of International Payments is modeled on The Payments Institute, NACHA's annual, week-long intensive course on the U.S. payments system. The purpose of launching the Institute of International Payments is to provide financial institution and corporate professionals who have a command of domestic payments concepts the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of the key principles, concepts, infrastructures, practices, issues, and developments in global payments.
