WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Wichita Falls police believe that whoever drove a stolen truck into an ATM and tried to steal the money at about 3 a.m. on March 17 may be linked to a dozen similar crimes that have occurred in Tarrant County, including Arlington and Fort Worth.
According to a KAUZ report, the Fort Worth Police Department formed a task force to tackle the crimes. In some of the Tarrant county cases, Fort Worth police say the criminals got away with cash -- though they are not saying how much.
They didn't get any money in Wichita Falls, but caused $10,700 in damage. Wichita Falls police say whoever it was left the smashed truck and took off in another car.
