Mosaic Software in ISV agreement with Microsoft

December 6, 2001

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. -- Mosaic Software, a developer of EFT software, has entered into an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) licensing agreement with Microsoft EOC (European Operation Center).

The agreement authorizes Mosaic to distribute Microsoft's SQL Server 2000 in conjunction with Mosaic's Postilion software. Postilion, a Microsoft Windows NT/2000 based advanced EFT solution, has been optimised to make efficient use of SQL Server, according to a news release.

Willem van Biljon, group chief executive officer of Mosaic Software, said, "Our global partnership with Microsoft will mean that we are even better equipped to offer a unified solution. Some of the benefits that our clients can look forward to include greater ease of customization and installation, getting a total solution from one source and cost savings. We are comfortable with SQL's scalability, reliability and low cost per transaction.'

According to the agreement, Mosaic Software will gain access to beta versions of Microsoft products, enabling them to test these products in-house before they are released.

"(Mosaic's) product proves that SQL Server can successfully operate in the enterprise space," said Geoff ten Oever, partner manager at Microsoft South Africa.
