Mosaic appoints new managing director for Europe, Middle East

January 23, 2002

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. -- Global EFT vendor Mosaic Software has appointed Nigel Bidmead as its new managing director for Europe and the Middle East.

Based in the UK, Bidmead brings with him 17 years experience in international sales and marketing of software products and a variety of senior executive roles within the payment systems arena.

Bidmead has previously worked for a number of payment vendors including ACI, Minacs Worldwide and Flexicom International. Most recently, he was managing director EMEA of QSI Payments. He will have full responsibility for the future direction of Mosaic Software in Europe and the Middle East including sales, delivery and the execution of Mosaic's global strategy to focus on the EFT market including EMV, prepay and Web-enabled ATMs.

Bidmead said, "The industry is going through a significant change rapidly moving away from the legacy systems built over 20 years ago. Today customers want to implement solutions faster, with a modern day flexible technology, such as Microsoft Windows 2000 and Java, at a lower cost per transaction, and this is exactly what Mosaic Software can offer them."

To further position Mosaic for growth in Europe and the Middle East, Chief Financial Officer Jan Kruger has relocated to the UK. The company plans to move to larger offices there in the near future.
