More Irish choosing debit-card transactions over ATMs

Ireland Online: More Irish consumers are opting to make debit card transactions than visit an ATM. In fact, debit card transactions are increasing more than three times faster than overall retail spending. Debit cards are used 137 times every minute and are expected to account for 4.8 billion Euros in sales in 2005.
