More exhibitors announce plans for The Self-Service & Kiosk Show

September 11, 2005

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Demand for self-service technology touches virtually every industry. Attendees from the retail, hospitality, financial services industries and beyond will test-drive self-service systems exhibited by the industry's leaders in development, installation and design at the upcoming Self-Service & Kiosk Show in San Francisco, according to a Sept. 12 news release from Networld Alliance, organizers of the event.

The show, Oct. 17-18 at the South San Francisco Conference Center, provides business leaders across a spectrum of industries with hands-on opportunities to try out self-service systems and to learn about the merits of implementing self-service programs to increase sales and decrease personnel cost.

Exhibiting companies are beginning to announce the technology they'll display, including:
Buena Park, Calif.-based Noritsu America Corp. will display CT-X, its next-generation photo kiosk software.

Public-access self-service systems provider Friendlyway of San Francisco will exhibit its Impress combination digital signage/kiosk and its screen segmentation software, Composer, which enables multiple mediums to share one screen and five other kiosks.

Tranax Technologies Inc. of Fremont, Calif., plans to exhibit several products at the show, including its check-cashing self-service terminal, ticketing self-service terminal, coin ATM and transactional kiosk. Tranax's check-cashing terminal uses the latest imaging technology and real-time funds verification and approval to cash on a range of check types. The ticketing terminal achieves ATM/kiosk convergence by combining traditional ATM functionality with kiosk technology. The coin ATM automates coin exchange, coin sorting and coin/cash dispensing; Tranax's modular transactional kiosk provides the hardware and software for self-service applications such as couponing, bill payment, instant-issue card dispensing and money order printing.
