MoneyTree to display multimedia ATM at RDS

December 5, 1999

DESTIN, FLORIDA -- Money Tree ATM, LC, a Florida-based manufacturer of low-cost ATM systems, will display its new ID 2000 (Internet Driven) multimedia ATM at BAI's Retail Delivery 99 conference in Miami Beach Dec. 7-9. The ID 2000 series is a PC-based, Linux OS, Internet browser-enabled ATM with full multimedia capability. It may be ordered with either touchscreen or side array input devices. In addition to full ATM functions, the machine supports e-commerce applications as well as couponing, on screen advertising and interactive user interfaces. Money Tree provides Internet support through internal Internet Server Farms located at the company's Destin offices. Custom advertising applications are available according to customer specifications. "MoneyTree has always had the goal of providing unique, cost-effective solutions for perceived market niches within our industry," said Brad Fletcher president of Money Tree. Noting that he originated the widely-copied Verifone 490 ATM in 1994, Fletcher said, "Our recognition of the Linux OS as the correct system to deploy an unattended PC application once again demonstrates our understanding of technology and our dedication to utilizing these solutions."
