The Mercantile Bank of Jerusalem, in Israel, in a joint initiative with the Matav association, recently provided a mobile ATM vehicle during the coronavirus crisis and helped the elderly bank safely and conveniently.
In one event, representatives of the bank arrived at a elderly day program with a mobile ATM installed in a vehicle in the Kfar Shalem neighborhood of Tel Aviv, according to a Jerusalem Today report. The mobile ATM let cardholders withdraw cash while adhering to the "purple ribbon guidelines" for safety and health.
Now that the coronavirus has ebbed, the elderly want to keep the mobile ATM service coming.
"The older population usually prefers traditional banking services. The mobile ATM is a good and accessible solution," Dudi Maimon, vice president and director of the retail division at Mercantile Bank, told the news outlet.
