Associated Press:Officials from Tokyo's trust-banking unit of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc., the world's largest bank, said ATMs had temporary system troubles during the bank's first day of operations, Oct. 1. Mitsubishi UFJ Trust & Banking Corp., created after the merger of Mitsubishi Trust & Banking and UFJ Trust, said customers were unable to transfer money at approximately 100 ATMs Oct. 1. The incident illustrated the difficulties associated with integrating complicated computer systems after bank mergers.
