Landmark Bank, a family-run financial institution based in Columbia, Mo., has introduced video teller technology to the "show-me" state with the debut of an NCR APTRA Interactive Teller machine.
The machine, which the bank calls simply "Video Teller," was launched in Columbia, Mo., with a ribbon cutting, a news release from NCR said.
"This is a special day, and we're proud to be the first in our state to offer this new technology to our customers," Landmark Bank retail and consumer products executive Nick Kieffer told to a group of invited guests, customers and bank representatives.
"[T]he technology offered by the Video Teller will help streamline transactions for our customers, but keeps live communication intact," said Andrew Beverley, Landmark Bank senior banking executive for Missouri. "That's an important plus."
NCR's virtual teller can take remote control of the ATM in order to actually transact with the customer — performing 95 percent of typical teller transactions.
NCR Corp. has now installed units at more than 60 financial institutions in more than 30 states across the U.S.
Landmark bank operates 41 branches in 28 communities in Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
