Minor charged for ATM skimming

Police have booked a 17-year-old on multiple charges due to installing ATM skimmers across central Illinois. In particular, the teen is charged with three counts of fraud, fleeing and eluding and traffic violations, according to a report by KWQC.

Police discovered the skimming devices along with cameras on the ATMs. They discovered the teen approaching an ATM and a chase issued. The suspect would later crash into a median and was taken into custody.

The teen is currently at the Mary Davies Detention Facility.
