Wildfire Credit Union, based in Saginaw, Michigan, announced its move into a 'digital-first' approach for members with the selection of Backbase, an international banking software developer.
Wildfire hopes will its decision to go digital will unify the member experience across all channels and touchpoints, according to a report in CUTimes
Wildfire, which has more than $950 million in assets and 49,000 members, chose Backbase to help the credit union not only run on a single platform with integrated architecture but offer the credit union the ability to meet the needs of both retail and business members.
Mark Schuiling, chief technology officer for Wildfire said in the report, "Going forward, digital-first is a huge part of our strategy. We partnered with Backbase as a way to expand throughout Michigan and into other states without adding more physical branches, something that's been on our minds during the pandemic."
