MasterCard expands contactless trial in New York

ePaynews:MasterCard Worldwide is expected to enter the next phase of its New York City contactless payments trial. The card scheme in July launched a limited trial of PayPass tap-and-go payments with Citibank on the New York City subway. Now MasterCard has teamed with mobile operator Cingular Wireless to test cellular phones that contain near-field communication contactless-payments technology.
