After months of being closed due to the coronavirus, Rollstone Bank & Trust has reopened its branch lobbies throughout northeastern Massachusetts but with new safety measures in place.
The bank allows only four customers in the lobby at a time and face masks and social distancing is mandatory, according to a report in The Lowell Sun. To protect staff and the public, there are multiple hand sanitizer stations and there are plastic safety shields at teller windows and customer service areas. Free pens are given on request and thrown away once used, unless a customer chooses to take it home.
"Re-opening our branch lobbies is a huge milestone to getting back to operating closer to normal, which is as much a personal mission as it is a professional one and we're proud to be able to do it with the safety of our account holders as our top priority," Martin F. Connors Jr., Rollstone president and CEO, told the news outlet. "We appreciate the patience of our customers and are proud of the hard work of our employees who have pulled together through this unprecedented time of challenge."
