Man charged with kidnapping woman at Nashville, Tennessee ATM

Police have charged Leon Summers, 50, with kidnapping a woman at an ATM in Nashville, Tennessee. He allegedly pointed a gun at her, assaulted her, then forced her to withdraw from a Regions Bank ATM in the area, according to a report by WKRN.

The victim stated that Summers forced her to sit in the passenger seat while he drove the car to the bank with her in it. He allegedly stole $100 and then fled. He then called the police and claimed he had been robbed by the victim. Upon review of surveillance footage, police determined that the woman was the actual victim.

He is being charged with aggravated kidnapping, robbery, carjacking, tampering with evidence and felon in possession of a weapon.
