Man arrested in ATM kidnapping case

Robert Gonzales was arrested by police in Ames, Iowa for allegedly kidnapping a woman and forcing her to withdraw money from several ATMs. He is currently being charged with second-degree kidnapping and first-degree burglary, according to a report by Who 13.

Gonzales allegedly broke into a 73-year-old woman's home, and drove her to multiple ATMs in Des Moines, Altoona, Ames and Boone to withdraw money. He then took her back to her house and stole her car.

Police say Gonzales had been in her home several months before the incident to repair an appliance.
