An automatic deposit ATM can reduce the cost of a traditional envelope deposit by two-thirds — up to $8,000 per year for an off-site ATM; $4,000 for an on-site machine. It can reduce balancing time by as much as 80 percent. It can reduce teller costs by moving traffic to the ATM. It can decrease the number of deposit pulls and, at the same time, enable same-day deposit.
In short, an ADT can achieve the Holy Grail of ATM deployment: reduced costs for the operator and increased convenience for the customer.
