ATLANTA - Transaction processor Lynk Systems, Inc., has introduced a new wireless option for ATM transaction processing. Lynk's CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access)
technology provides a fast, secure option for routing wireless ATM transactions.
"CDMA is an excellent alternative to a traditional dial-up ATM connection," said Melanie Chewning, vice president of Lynk's ATM Services division. "Businesses of all sizes, especially retailers, see wireless as the best solution to decrease their operating costs and increase their transaction speeds."
Lynk has joined with Triton in its implementation of CDMA wireless technology. Triton was one of the first ATM manufacturers to establish an ATM modem gateway to Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless service provider.
Lynk recruited Access To Money, a Triton distributor, to provide a beta location for the CDMA service.
"Lynk will support multiple wireless solutions for merchants looking to leverage wireless technology. We will continue to develop other wireless options to extend our position in this market," Chewning said.
