The Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union has now expanded into more Southern California counties including Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura. Sworn officers, civilian law enforcement, immediate family members and law enforcement volunteers in those communities can now join the LAPFCU as members, according to a press release.
These credit unions will offer ATMs, personal loans for new recruits, a zero-down payment first-time homebuyer program with no private mortgage insurance required and debt cancellation for those killed in the line of duty.
"Our mission is to serve as a trusted advocate for the law enforcement community by providing banking services, financial services and programs designed specifically for our members. Extending our footprint into neighboring counties is an important step in advancing our mission and assisting more people who work in law enforcement," Edwin Hada, president and CEO of LAPFCU, said in the release.
