LocalBitcoins intros mobile app for Android

LocalBitcoins, a peer-to-peer bitcoin marketplace, has introduced its mobile app for Android users. With this app, users in more than 190 countries can buy and sell bitcoin, according to a press release.

Features of the app include:

• Free bitcoin wallet.
• Biometric and two-factor authentication.
• No deposit and transaction fees, other than a 1% escrow fee and a withdrawal fee.
• Supports more than 100 payment methods.

"During 2020 LocalBitcoins welcomed 1.7 million new customers from 189 countries — most using mobile devices," Jukka Blomberg, CMO, LocalBitcoins, said in the release. "Our new mobile app shows our commitment to our global user base and enforces LocalBitcoins' founding idea of Bringing Bitcoin Everywhere."
