LONDON -- Level Four Software, a provider of ATM test and development software, says it has signed a co-marketing agreement with ACI Worldwide (ACI), a provider of transaction processing software to financial institutions.
Level Four will work with ACI to promote its ATM tools to ACI's client base in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
According to a news release, Level Four's ATM Channel Development Suite is a toolset of integrated modules that enable the rapid deployment of new ATM applications and full end-to-end testing of ATM networks.
The toolkit and Level Four's EMV FastTrack tool will be particularly useful for clients upgrading their ATM networks to achieve EMV compliance, according to the release, because they enable EMV smart card transactions to be developed and tested directly from a desktop PC, allowing banks to test high volumes of smart card transactions by simulating the ATM environment.
Because Level Four's software supports BASE24, ACI's transaction processing and switching system, banks deploying BASE24 can simulate full end-to-end transaction testing directly from the smart card, through the ATM and up to the host system using Level Four's EMV FastTrack component.
According to the release, Level Four and ACI are also working together to provide tools to assist in the migration of ACI customers to emerging standards in the ATM industry, including DMG/XML, a new standard that will enable ATM machines to communicate with the host system in XML.
