Kuwait Finance House recently integrated AI avatars into its account service kiosks at branches via a partnership with NCR Atleos. These avatars answer questions and guide customers through transactions, according to a press release.
The avatar, named Fahad, provides information on branch services and can direct customers to live agents when necessary. KFH will also work with Atleos to embed speech analytics and a quality management system to analyze keywords, topics and customer sentiment and tone.
"Our collaboration with Atleos marks a significant milestone in the evolution of banking," Meshal Mandani, executive manager of digital channels at KFH, said in the release. "By integrating conversational AI into the branch environment, we're enabling a more intuitive, accessible, and customer-centric experience that aligns with the demands of modern-day life."
The avatars use natural language processing as its technological basis and is designed to free up human agents for more complex tasks rather than replacing them.
"This initiative reflects the commitment of KFH to digital transformation and customer-first innovation, positioning the bank at the forefront of AI adoption in the financial services industry," Samer Zeyadeh, Middle East sales leader at Atleos, said in the release. "We look forward to working closely with KFH as they empower customers to access financial services with conversational avatars."
NCR Atleos expands self-service financial access for retailers and financial institutions who leverage our expertise, operational scale, always-on global services and constant innovation to deliver convenient self-service banking.
