Commercial Bank of Kuwait deployed TrueConf's video banking system to connect 68 remote bank branches with headquarters and enable communication between customers and call center agents.
Commercial Bank of Kuwait is adopting a "smart branch" model with the deployment of a flexible and cost-effective virtual banking system that allows remote banker/customer consultations via video kiosks — i.e., touchscreen PCs with connected headsets.
According to a press release, the system is based on TrueConf Server, a video conferencing software server. The TrueConf premises-based solution operates in LAN/VPN and guarantees secure data storage and transfer.
With TrueConf client applications installed in video kiosks, bank customers can directly contact remote call agents and resolve their issues online. To maximize consultation effectiveness, operators are free to use collaboration tools to share necessary documents with clients.
More than 100 installed TrueConf kiosks connect bank branches with headquarters and serve an average of 1,700 clients per day across Kuwait. According to the release, customers have said that queues at branches have been drastically reduced since the technology was installed.
"Thanks to TrueConf, we managed to deploy a budget-friendly video banking system that did not require complicated software, big-ticket equipment or large-scale developer support," Bader Qamhieh, head of IT at the bank, said in the press release. "By implementing TrueConf solution, we improved our quality of client service and optimized business processes with reduced costs."
