ROCHESTER, NY -- Eastman Kodak Co. is offering consumers in-pack game debit cards with chances to win up to $1,000 in a promotion called the Max Facts $1 Million Challenge.
Kodak is placing debit cards worth either $20, $100, or $1,000 in specially marked packages of its Kodak Max film and disposable use cameras. Up to $1 million will be given away and more than 2.2 million Max Facts cards will be placed inside the packages.
Consumers can learn whether their card is a winner by calling a toll free number printed on it. While on the phone, consumers will need to recite the four Max Facts -- taking pictures under sunlight, low light, fast action and still -- and enter their card number to discover the value of the card. Winning cards can then be used for retail purchases or cash withdrawals from any MAC-based ATM. Consumers have until January 2000 to activate their cards.
If they want to enter the contest without purchasing the film, consumers can send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Kodak Max Facts $1 Million Challenge CArd/Rules Request, P.O. Box 7676, Melville, NY 11775-7676.
The promotion is an effort to market Kodak Max products, which are designed to enable consumers to take quality photographs in various lighting and action conditions without switching film types.
