KeyBank has introduced its third special purpose credit program, called KeyBank Neighbors First Credit, which provides up to $5,000 to help home buyers purchase homes. The bank launched the program specifically to help individuals in financially underserved communities, according to a press release.

Customers can use these funds for closing costs or prepay costs. The home must be in an eligible community located in KeyBank's 15 state retail footprint and Florida.

"The Neighbors First Credit is the latest in a series of steps we are taking to help the communities, in which we live and work, thrive," Dale Baker, president of KeyBank Home Lending, said in the release. "At KeyBank helping all residents have equal access to home ownership is a priority. To do our part, KeyBank is reducing the barriers of home ownership through responsible lending products and services, educational support, and direct investment into the diverse communities we serve."
