Customers of Cleveland, Ohio-based KeyBank who do their banking in New York now have access to additional surcharge-free ATMs as a result of a new partnership between KeyBank and Cardtronics Inc.

Under the new agreement, KeyBank has branded 25 ATMs owned and operated by Cardtronics in Rite Aid stores. KeyBank customers have access to more than 500 additional Cardtronics surcharge-free ATMs in Rite-Aid stores besides.

"Our customers want us to make it easy for them to access and manage their money," said Steffanie A. Schroeder, a product manager in the integrated channel management department at KeyBank. "By offering surcharge-free ATM access in Rite Aid stores, we give our customers more ways to bank when they choose and how they choose."

KeyBank has assets of approximately $90.8 billion. The FI has 304 ATMs in New York and 1,290 across its entire service footprint. The bank will continue to work to further expand its ATM network, the release said.
