Kansas ATMs targeted in jackpot scheme

Police are investigating a jackpotting incident where an individual or group hacked into two ATMs in Salina, Kansas. The ATMs were located at Great Plains Federal Credit Union branches, according to a report by KSN.

With jackpotting, the criminal is able to install malware into the ATM to dispense cash illegally. It is unclear how much cash was stolen during these incidents.

The investigation is ongoing and no suspects have been identified.
