EDINBURGH, Scotland -- KAL says that total shipments of its flagship Kalignite platform, a Microsoft Windows-based software suite that provides a framework for developing self-service applications, have exceeded 8,000 copies.
According to a KAL news release, more than 50 percent of these shipments were to the Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA) region, while North America accounted for another 35 percent of shipments, and the Asia-Pacific region accounted for the remaining 15 percent.
According to KAL, approximately 70 different applications have been developed using Kalignite.
KAL believes that these numbers confirm its position as a leading provider of Web-enabled, multi-vendor software for ATMs and kiosks, based on Microsoft's Windows operating systems such as NT, 2000, XP, CE and CE.NET.
KAL software delivers ATM efficiency and innovation you can bank on. It powers over 350,000 ATMs and dispenses more than $1 trillion per year.
