LOS ANGELES -- North Communications will become a reseller of KAL's Kalignite software for ATMs and kiosks.
Under the agreement, North Communications can provide KAL's Kalignite software, which is based on Windows NT or Windows 2000, as part of North's application offerings. North will use the Kalignite software to create applications for customers in target markets, including the financial, governmental and commercial industries.
Steve Hensley, KAL's executive vice president of sales and marketing, said, "The self-service business is very challenging since it encompasses so many industries doing a huge variety of applications with an infinite number of hardware combinations. North has brought stability to the market and they understand it and their customer's needs very well."
KAL is headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland, with offices in the U.S., Japan and Australia. The company's flagship product is Kalignite, a platform for creating web-enabled, hardware independent self-service applications built upon industry standards such as XFS and OPOS.
