KAL intros Software-on-Standby as an ATM software 'insurance plan' for banks

KAL ATM Software has introduced its software-on-standby service, an "insurance plan" powered by Kalignite software. With the plan, banks can run the software on a small number of ATMs, with the option to deploy on the entire network when necessary, according to a press release.

The service can match bank's specific requirements and supports any ATM hardware. Banks can keep this ATM software as an alternative on standby and can easily migrate to it. It is designed to "de-risk" bank's ATM fleets and help them reduce their reliance on their current software solutions.

"It is KAL's belief that today's ATM networks need a solid plan B," Steve Hensley, EVP of global sales, KAL, said in the release. "With our new Software-on-Standby (SoS) offering, banks can keep Kalignite running on a small number of ATMs with no license costs, and the readiness to deploy network-wide at any time using our remote-reimage technology."
