BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Kahuna Business Group processed 1.5 million transactions at more than 5,000 ATMs around the country last month, marking an all-time high for the empowerment marketing company.
"Our corporate mission of building partnerships and creating leverage to reach mutual success has worked very well for us in the ATM industry," said Tom Mortimer, executive vice president of Kahuna, in a news release.
Monthly transactions have grown by 50 percent for Kahuna since the company celebrated reaching the 1 million mark in July of 2003.
"At Kahuna, we strive to provide leverage, support and continuous growth opportunities to our affiliates. We view this as a victory not only for Kahuna, but for the affiliate organization we have the privilege of working with as well," said Ernie Beckman, director of Affiliate Sales for Kahuna.
Established in 1995, Kahuna Business Group is an empowerment marketing company designed on a cooperative affiliate model. Through its partnerships, Kahuna provides ATM equipment, service, supplies and processing options with multiple processors. Kahuna recently added financial services and prepaid products to create additional opportunities for its affiliates.
