Kahuna crests at one million monthly transactions

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Kahuna Business Group this month processed one million transactions in a single month at the 4,000 machines its affiliates have under contract, the first time the company has achieved this milestone.

Tom Mortimer, Kahuna's executive vice president, noted that Kahuna expects to end the month with 1.1 million transactions and has added nearly 400,000 monthly transactions since February when its machines logged 760,000 transactions.

Mortimer called the achievement "a testament to the great team we have assembled and an indicator that our business model is working very well in the industry."

Ernie Beckman, Kahuna's director of affiliate sales, said in a news release, "This is a victory for all the independent affiliates we have the honor and privilege of working with. Part of our corporate mission is achieving our victories through the victories of those we serve. We are even more excited about what the future holds as we continue to work together."
 
Established in 1995, Kahuna Business Group is an empowerment marketing company that partners with its affiliates in the processing of more than 4,000 ATMs. According to the release, Kahuna provides ATM equipment, service, supplies and processing options with multiple processors to provide portability of ATM transactions.
