JP Morgan to join France's payment network Cartes Bancaires

J.P. Morgan has received approval to join Cartes Bancaires CB, a payment network in France. It plans to offer its merchant clients access to Cartes by the end of 2024, according to a press release.

Cartes facilitates 15 billion transactions annually by card or mobile payment.

"We are proud that J.P. Morgan has chosen to join CB, the leading domestic card and mobile payment network in France. CB and J.P. Morgan share the same values, those that have made our respective organizations successful: the values of economic efficiency, innovation, inclusion and security," Philippe Laulanie, CEO of Cartes Bancaires CB, said in the release. "The road that now opens before us will lead us to numerous projects, which will bring real added value to the entire CB community."
