JBM Electronics intros routers for wireless ATM connectivity

November 8, 2004

ST LOUIS - JBM Electronics Co., a developer of financial transaction routers, has launched the newest member of its Gateway product line, the C200 Wireless Series.

Designed to provide low-cost connectivity of ATM and point-of-sale terminals to a cell network, the C200 Series allows async or Ethernet devices to use a cellular network for secure communications. Various models of the C200 Series provide interfaces for dial-only devices such as ATMs or credit card verification units or legacy devices using bisync or SNA protocols.

The C200 Series offer protocol conversion for legacy protocols to TCP/IP for Visa I/II, Poll-Select, and many others; as well as dial backup and fail-over capabilities for high volume ATMs or POS terminals. Other capabilities include security through standard SSL and VPN clients, integrated firewall and IP routing.

The Linux-based routers support CDMA networks from Sprint or Verizon and GSM/GPRS networks.
