KINGSTON, Jamaica -- "Today marks yet another milestone in our history," said Michael Muirhead, chairperson of National Commercial Bank (NCB), at the recent launch of Jamaica's first drive-through ATM.
NCB purchased the machine, an NCR Personas 88, from Illuminat (Jamaica) Limited (formerly CCS Jamaica Limited, a company which has sold more than 50 machines to the bank.
Christopher Lowe, NCB's managing director, said the new ATM is the company's 72nd machine. Currently, he said, there are plans to expand the network to 100 ATMs, including up to 10 drive-through machines.
