INETCO Systems Limited today announced that Jack Henry & Associates Inc. has purchased INETCO’s Insight software, marking the biggest deal so far for the Burnaby, British Columbia-based company.
“This is a great reason for celebration,” said Marc Borbas, INETCO’s vice president of marketing. “We have agreements with processors Fidelity [Fidelity National Information Systems Inc.], and Open Solutions’ Canadian arm. The Jack Henry agreement gives us even more visibility.” Fidelity is based in Jacksonville, Fla. and Open Solutions Inc. has its headquarters in Glastonbury, Conn.
Jack Henry & Associates, a Monett, Mo.-based provider of ATM, debit and ACH transaction processing, purchased INETCO Insight for its jhaPassPort EFT Solutions Group and JHA Payment Processing Solutions. Jack Henry is installing the INETCO Insight software in its data center, enabling company employees to monitor transactions.
INETCO Insight alerts employees by email or by page to trouble spots that have slowed down transactions, Borbas said. In addition, company employees can conduct a proactive search of trouble spots instead of waiting for one to develop into a major problem, and the software enables employees to “drill down” to root out the causes of transaction slowdowns, he added.
Borbas explained that transactions can slow down for a variety of reasons. “Think of an ATM transaction as a loop,” he said. “The transaction can slow down at an acquirer before Jack Henry or at Visa or MasterCard after Jack Henry or at a bank before the customer receives his money at the ATM.”

With INETCO Insight, JHA Payment Processing and jhaPassPort Solutions EFT can access and query up to eight days of complete transaction history to track and resolve problems, INETCO officials said.
