ONTARIO, Calif. - Co-Op Network has reached an agreement with WesCorp and its Pacific Operations Division to become partners in serving 27 credit unions located throughout the Hawaiian Islands and Guam.
The credit unions will become the first South Pacific financial institutions to join the Co-Op Network ATM network. Effective immediately, Co-Op Network will provide full ATM and debit card processing for its 27 newest member credit unions.
WesCorp, America's largest corporate credit union, recently became a Co-Op Network shareholder.
"Offering Co-Op Network is another way we enhance long-term cost savings and the range of services we provide to our members, particularly when they travel to the mainland where Co-Op Network membership includes surcharge-free ATM access throughout the entire country," said Rand N. Yamasaki, WesCorp's senior vice president of Pacific Operations.
Co-Op Network has deployed 41 ATMs throughout Hawaii since 2001. The WesCorp partnership brings 39 more into their nationwide surcharge-free network of 18,000 ATMs.
"WesCorp helped us open the door to the Islands, and we now plan to aggressively pursue expansion throughout the state," said says Robert Rose, Co-Op Network CEO.
