Irish ATM security dispute appears no closer to resolution

Business World: Unions and management at Brinks Allied will meet on Aug. 16 at the Labour Relations Commission in a bid to resolve the dispute that has crippled hundreds of non-branch ATMs along Ireland's east coast. The dispute appears to be no closer to resolution, with both sides saying considerable disagreements remain. The workers in the company voted on Aug. 11 to serve formal strike notice on the company by 60 votes to nine. The row centers on Brinks' introduction of new security procedures that employees claim would leave them more vulnerable to attack.
