Ipswich, Massachusetts bans bitcoin ATMs in town meeting

Ipswich, Massachusetts, voted to ban bitcoin ATMs during a town meeting. Residents in attendance approved the article 186-16, according to a report by The Local News.

Police Chief Paul Nikas urged attendees to pass the ban, due to the machine's usage in scams.

The town meeting addressed other issues as well including property tax exemptions for veterans and a feasibility study about the elementary school building project.
